Firefighting-Uetze
As a child, I joined the youth firefighters and grew into a voluntary firefighter. There, I took on more responsibilities and played a major role in changing the official website of the fire department by joining the PR Team.
A whole new system
From scratch, the PR team had to rebuild a completely new website, because the old one could not be updated to the more modern design.
- We decided on a new user-friendly layout
- We created a user system so that editing and administrating was possible
- Implemented a news feed for the last alarms on the main page
- Changed the focus of the website towards its main users.
My work in this project
I contributed to almost every aspect of this project.
My most important contribution was on the new menu and its structure. Here, I conducted user research trying to understand their mental framework and see what pages of the website were most visited and thereby important for the users.
